Lodox Statscan

The Statscan Critical Imaging System is a flexible format digital radiography (DR) system aimed specifically at the needs of emergency medical centers and is designed to meet the radiography needs of both trauma patients and standard emergency patients. Statscan gives critical life-saving

information to the medical staff by enabling them to have a complete picture—literally from head to toe—of a patient’s injuries, faster and with less interference with patient stabilization efforts than ever before possible.

Statscan is based on enhanced linear slot-scanning technology which produces very high quality radiographic images of any size in seconds. Because of its unique flexible-format digital radiographic (DR) capability that produced images of large and small body areas, comprehensive diagnostic procedures can be completed in a matter of 4-5 minutes and at a greatly reduced overall radiation dose to the medical staff and patients, making it particularly beneficial for use on children and pregnant patients. The Stat Scan is also perfect for the near real-time bone fracture reduction requirements of Orthopedic radiography and the large field of view radiography needs of bariatric patients. Statscan's high throughput patient triage capabilities make it an exceptional tool for Disaster and Military-related patient injury management.

Statscan also greatly benefits Forensic Pathology imaging and Crime Investigation experts to quickly assist in the determining "cause of death"accuracy, improve investigational proficiency, shorten perpetrator arrest cycles and increase criminal prosecution accuracy.

Key Benefits

  • The spatial resolution is selectable over the range 1.4 to 5.0 line pairs per mm
  • An exceptionally high-contrast resolution up to 16,000 gray levels is achieved
  • Ultra low-dose, low resolution full body screening as well as high resolution detail studies.
  • X-ray dose used is estimated to be about 25% of equivalent other techniques (75% less dose is typically required).

New Product

ATX has recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement with CompuMed Inc. to market and support OsteoGram, a new and cost effective method of measuring BMD (bone mineral density).

Based on patented technology, the OsteoGram uses standard or digital x-ray equipment to provide clinicians with a cost-effective method of measuring BMD (bone mineral density).

OsteoGram is a useful tool to diagnose osteoporosis and predict fracture risk. It requires no special training and has been cleared by the FDA for commercial use.

Backed with superior technical specifications, the OsteoGram allows the entire process of assessing BMD to be performed at the point-of-care in less than five minutes. Once the required hand x-ray is taken, the developed film is scanned at the

healthcare provider's facility with a standard desktop scanner, and the OsteoGram software analysis program instantly produces the BMD report.

The OsteoGram offers unsurpassed clinical performance, access and convenience at a fraction of the price of most other BMD testing devices.

The new DICOM version of the OsteoGram automatically performs the analysis on digital (filmless) x-ray equipment or network servers, providing enhanced utilization of existing equipment.

The patented OsteoGram technology will be applied to a suite of value-added applications, such as arthritis, vertebral fractures and scoliosis. Today’s OsteoGram is the beginning of a series of sound investments for tomorrow’s patient care.
